Out of sight, out of mind
This is an update for Struggling with the phone.
Allowing myself to only use social media on my second phone has been a game changer. Initially, I put a 1 hour limit on the second phone, but eventually turned it off because I was iffy about it. Turns out I did not even need the limit. I've been averaging around 30 minutes of screen time on that phone. Huge difference of my social media usage, when comparing it to when I had the apps on my main phone.
Working with my ADHD instead of against it. My ADHD loves "out of sight, out of my mind" dearly. This is magic. I keep this second phone at home, while I'm at work. I don't find myself thinking about it. After work, I go to the library. Second phone at home. I don't think about it there either.
Unfortunately, when I get home it's one of the first things I check. There it is. On my bed. Here I am. Ready to disturb its peace.
Patting myself on the back for having more self-control. I got this. Baby steps.
