do or diary
Hallo Wurld! My first bearblog post. I'm pretty excited to try this out.
Speaking of trying things out.
I've been trying out new things recently because I finally found the motivation to do so. I will now be adding blogging back into that list of new things to try. I've tried and failed at this (blogging) multiple times now, but it is something I really want to succeed at and keep consistent. Consistency is something that I struggle with.
One new thing that I have been trying to keep consistent is using my new diary/journal. Don't know whether to call it a diary or a journal, but diary sounds fun so I'll just go with that. I've only written 4 entries as of now. The first one that I did was 2 pages (the diary is on the smaller side). After that, I found myself trying to keep each entry at 2 pages without going over. This "rule" that I made for myself limited me from writing more. I would have so many more things to say, but I stopped at the bottom of the second page which left me feeling incomplete. After my 3rd consecutive day of writing entries, nothing was written for a week. I felt so guilty about this. Then the other day I got up and wrote my 4th entry. I finally broke my self made rule. I had so many thoughts and putting them all down on paper without limiting myself was honestly freeing. Now that I have broken this rule once, I think I could keep going and break it again and again. Will this help with keeping myself consistent? Who knows. Only time will tell.
